Well, I have given notice! I gave about 6 weeks notice. My last day will be July 31st. However, I said that I would be available for maybe 10 hours a week to help out and continue training.
I'm very happy that my boss said that as a friend he understands and even supports why I am leaving.
So far, we haven't had any luck finding a replacement, though. Mission finance work is fairly specialized, so I was hoping to have someone start working soon.
It is such a relief that it is out in the open at work now. I am free to talk about home schooling my kids, and concerns about losing an income.
This is a journal of my journey from working full time to becoming a full time mommy. As of the creation of this blog, November 18, 2007, I work full time. I have recently been convicted that I need to be home full time with my three children. I will be making a plan to gradually leave full time employment. I hope to hear from those who support me in this, as I think this will not be an easy transition, especially financially.
